Come participate in the regions ONLY sport specific conditioning program brought to you by Maryland Licensed & Certified Athletic Trainers.  Our program is specifically designed to provide ANY level of athlete the opportunity to work with Certified Athletic Trainers to

PREVENT INJURY

ENHANCE POWER

INCREASE FLEXIBILITY

MAXIMIZE SPEED

IMPROVE AGILITY

All participants will undergo a ONE-ON-ONE pretest that will determine potential risk for injury and current fitness level using the FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN.  This screen is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal functions.  By screening the participants, our Certified Athletic Trainers can identify any functional limitations and asymmetries.  From here our trainers can group our participants together by fitness level and results from the Functional Movement Screen to ensure our athletes are completing the proper exercises to reach their fullest potential. There will be a 1:2 ratio of trainer to athletes for each class allowing our Certified Athletic Trainers to provide the personal attention that is needed. For more information on the importance of the FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN please feel free to visit
www.functionalmovement.com

Participants will complete the conditioning program where they will have ONE-ON-ONE personal attention with a Certified Athletic Trainer.  With the results of the Functional Movement Screen, our trainers can focus on strengths and weaknesses of each INDIVIDUAL athlete and also ensure the proper techniques are being practiced.

All conditioning sessions will be held at our Waldorf office.  Athletes will use state of the art equipment while receiving the personal attention they need to gain the edge for the next season.  Athletes can sign up for a morning or afternoon session that will meet 3 times a week for 3 weeks. The first session will be held from June 17th- July 5th and the second from July 15th- August 2nd.  One session runs at a great price $125 or register for both at $200!!!

After the three weeks the Functional Movement Screen will be repeated to evaluate progress made throughout our program.  Our trainers are here to take athletes to the next level in their sport.
Based on the final results of the functional movement screen our trainers will provide the athlete with an INDIVIDUALIZED program for them to follow at home!

What is Sports Rehabilitation?
Rehabilitation Center of Southern Maryland Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers not only treat injured athletes, but deal with many common muscular complaints such as back pain, mobility problems, postural problems and sports related conditions. In sports, our Athletic Trainers help injured athletes return to full performance, after injury. Injury treatment varies according to the sport or activity involved.
